There is a lot of talk these days about a two-part self called bodymind. Religions describe self as body, mind and spirit.
At the institute, we believe there are four parts to the whole self: the physical body, the mental body, the spiritual body and the
emotional body. If we desire to create balance and harmony in our lives, we begin by bringing all parts of
self into a balancing dynamic.
The institute offers a four-part series that explores each of the parts of the whole self. Taking one part of self per session, the
series examines the function, strengths and weaknesses of that part and also reviews how that part of self complements the strengths and
weaknesses of the other three.
If we want to find balance and harmony in our lives, we begin by learning about all of self. When we respect and value each part of
self, that inner harmony is reflected in our lives.
